On Saturday I went over to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the Picasso exhibit, which was much more intriguing than I expected it to be. I'm not a huge cubist fan, but there was some truly fantastic work displayed. It's like looking at the world upside-down through the eyes of a poet-- something which I fully understand. So while Picasso and Gris and Baraque may not be my favorite artists, I understand their points of view and respect their art. Still, I was inspired by the things I saw and am now working on a print-- it's somewhat like a French love story movie poster, but with a little edgy drama thrown in for some of my creative flair.
